The world's top business company Ernst & Young has named Yerkin Takishev Entrepreneurs of the Year in Kazakhstan. One of the most prestigious contests in the world, his leadership and actions against COVID-19 impressed the judges.
The contestants included famous businesspeople from across Kazakhstan. Kusto Group's founder managed to join 21 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan that reached the final.

Yerkin Tashev was the winner of the national competition and will represent Russia at the international finals in Monaco in June 2022. The competition features 60 finalists representing 60 different nations, chosen by an international jury.

Consequently, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group was able to collaborate with Valmont Industries USA. They are collaborating to establish a manufacturing plant to produce 1000 pivot irrigation systems in Kazakhstan.
The agreement also allows for innovative irrigation systems to be put in place on farms, and a program to educate local farmers.
With the help of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, all donations made by Kusto Group were possible. Thanks to their entrepreneurial spirit, they were able take charge in giving charity in times of hardship.

All national finalists and winners can participate in the Entrepreneur of The Year competition. The final, held in June this year in Monaco will allow the national winner to compete against the most successful entrepreneurs around the world and gain new concepts and lessons to help them further develop their business.
The contest has attracted more than 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan. Six previous winners have also represented Kazakhstan at the Monte Carlo international championships.
The decision to award Tatishev as the winner was taken by Nurlan Smagulov, who was a previous Entrepreneur of the Year winner. The judges included participants of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan among the judges.
